Fellowship
A fellowship is a period of training that some medical doctors undertake following completion of their residency as a means to becoming proficient in a sub-specialisation. For instance, a pediatrician might complete a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology. Most fellowships run two to three years in length; afterwards, the doctor often takes a board exam in the specialty.
